Recently, Beckley Area Foundation awarded RCAR a grant to help area low-income residents have their pets spayed or neutered.  If you know someone that would qualify, have them contact RCAR at 228-9047.

RCAR will hold a sign-up day at Raleigh County Public Library on Saturday, April 12 from 10 am to 6 pm. Please proof of income like a W-2, SSI Statement or type of documentation for assistance.

The program is named in honor of the late Sam Amato. "We are trying to carry on your dream Sam!"

RCAR would like to extend a huge thank you to The Beckley Area Foundation.  We have received a very generous grant which will assist us in our spay and neuter program.  This is the 3rd year in a row we have received this much needed money.  We greatly appreciate what the Beckley Area Foundation does and for believing in what we do and helping our animals.

Happy Fifth Anniversary, RCAR

March 29, 2008 will make five years that a group of citizens in Raleigh County met at the Pancake House in Beckley, WV and formed a "No Kill Organization" for our animal friends which would be known as and has thrived well during the past four years as the Raleigh County Animal Rescue (RCAR).
